With all due respect Gene, some (me in particular) prefer written material. I have hearing issues. I have watched many videos and have found them very instructive, but quite a few are not to my liking and/or are difficult for me to discriminate actual words. Perhaps I'm unique. If I miss 30% of dialogue, I really miss 100% of the instruction - confusion and frustration reign. I use free instruction, but I augment it with written media.

Mark,

Yes, always have. Had to tolerate sitting in the front of the class even when it wasn't cool.

I've worn hearing aids for 42 years. Always a challenge understanding others.

Ben Willmore is one of the top Photoshop teachers. You will learn a lot. I have his Studio Techniques for Photoshop CS2 and still find it pertinent. The most important skill to acquire is making selections and once you have mastered hair you will be in the Einstein Class.

I'm currently contemplating to buy the course. The one I'm looking at is Adobe Photoshop CC: The Complete Guide by Ben Willmore, CreativeLive. It's on sale for $129.00 US which offers 21 lessons. He uses Photoshop 2015. I was wondering which course you would suggest for me to purchase? I have Adobe Photoshop CC 2019.

As Gene51 said, there are a lot of free PS tutorials online. Go to YouTube and search "Photoshop tutorials", you will find many. Gene gave you a few to look at.

Aaron Nace (Phlearn) is an excellent one. Another is Anthony Morganti. Julieanne Kost is another one on Youtube. I have watched all three of them and I highly recommend them. Best part is they are free. Aaron Nace does also have a monthly paid tutorials if you subscribe to his website, but you can learn much from the free stuff.

I recently purchased Photo Pad and it was $39.95. I downloaded it from their site and it is very easily navigated. I think that you'd like it. Let me know how it works out for you.

I mainly use Lightroom but very good Photoshop tutorials are also available through Lynda.com. Lynda.com has a free trial I believe and also free access through many library systems and employers.

I recommend starting with Chris Orwig’s training courses there.

The Ben Wilmore Photoshop course is 20(20 lessons) hours long and I recently purchased it from the Great Courses for I believe around $70 downloaded and can be kept in your courses with The Great Courses and opened and watched as needed and I believe can also be downloaded to your own hard drive. I have been using Photoshop for 20+ years and am learning many new things about the program. It is easily worth what I paid and also the $129 mentioned earlier in this thread would be a bargain also.

That's sounds like an aweful lot of money for that little amount of lessons, which can just scratch the surface, instead read a book about the program, that would be of much more help!

Get a book, and if you have any questions, go to youtube. It is easy
