looking to trade in and upgrade, any info greatly appreciated
what year and any ideas as to the value
Looks like a pre 1964. Good luck! At a store for trade in possibly $50 depending on what yu want to buy. Maybe a better idea is for a collector on ebay.
thank you for the site, it’s a 1964 Nikon F
I misread the chart, it is a 1962 F
thanks for all the great info GoofyNewfie, great stuff
I guess I will run it past the “ ABC “ and MPB Guys to see what they offer
Consider offering the camera to collectors right here via the UHH Buy/Sell/Trade - Classifieds. Leave the price open and let members bid privately using the Private Message link. If you find a buyer, you can be assured the camera will be loved and appreciated.
You might check with KEH as this is a vintage camera with vintage accessories. You could just look it up in their listing to get an accurate quote value, but if you call they will offer you a price and they are not a rip off place.
It's the version of the F with non TTL meter. It's the early version I think.

IIRC there should be a "64" at
one end or the other of the s/n.
If so, you can photo that for an
ebay listing.
BTW thaz a Tamron lens. If it's
a specialty type, then it
might be worth more than the body.
It looks to be a garden variety
35-70/3.5, but some Tamrons
had special features.

So it's the early of the Nikon F Photomic. They made that finder from 62 to 66.

My next quest before I sell it is to hopefully find a battery for the meter and run some film through it.
