I have and Cherish Old & New gear and I use all of it because I can. I still use my studio metering techniques and gadgets for anything & everything and don't care what other might think.

I am happy as a result and my work has only to please me first & foremost since I am learning every time I click the shutter button and I love surprises that way. The shots are not always good but they are usually consistent to a marginal point that bears out in comparison when I revisit them later on in the day.

I am in constant competition with only myself and not others and that keeps me free & clear of envy , insecurity and other petty human characteristics. Practice , perseverance and careful concentration along with notes taken all help me to stay focused on my behavior & state of mind before actually making a decision. Positive Thinking is a really biggie with any challenging endeavor and so only good thoughts should be in your head when you are working toward a goal of any sort.

I celebrate everyone's success and not just my own and I love to see everyone win if possible but just enjoy the moment and the people and animals that make up my world: every day. The Journey is The Thing !

That's a great attitude!!! (But you still might find uses for a smart phone!)

Great listing of useful apps.... Why not just load them into your camera ? Why mess with a Smartphone or carry a tablet around ? The new Zeiss has internal memory and Lightroom onboard; maybe full Lightroom is not needed in the camera body for most folks but does that mean something in the way of USEFUL apps could not be loaded ? look to the future; use that SD slot as input as well as output. Maybe if your Tablet can't do the trick you could pull your Mac 27 " in your pull behind red wagon to fulfill your app needs. Sarcasm... YES ! Current hardware capabilities not utilized to serve the the needs of current users; think OUTSIDE the box. Sorry for the rant, just a sore point with me.

I've tried to load them on my Hassy and Rollei, but I'm not sure where to put them? Maybe tape my iPhone to the bottom, but that would interfere with the tripod fitting....

WUM is ok but on the Apple app it does transfer the true file it’s compressed if you try to transfer more than 5 photo. The app I like better on Apple is one called Cascable you can find it here.

Try touch retouch; removes wires and does other tricks.
Definitely worth a look. Phone and iPad.

To those who have editing apps:

Do you use those to edit images from your camera or just your smart phone? I can’t see how you’d edit raw files on a phone.

I have Camera+ that converts the raw file to an uncompressed tiff file rather than a jpeg file. It is then possible to recover over- and under-exposed areas of the image in PS or other editing software.

I also have Pro HDR X. It takes better in-camera HDR than my professional cameras.

I have the ProCam app https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/procam-6/id730712409?mt=8 $5.99 and
the Moment app https://itunes.apple.com/app/apple-store/id927098908?mt=8 Free

Both apps allow you to shoot RAW as well as other camera features. You can edit RAW files in Snapseed.
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/snapseed/id439438619?mt=8 Free. SnapSeed is a very versatile editing app for your phone.
