If this were a combination that I was interested in, I would not hesitate in purchasing it. It’s sold by Amazon, which is an authorized dealer. I’d something runs amuck, you can always return it by saying it was misrepresented in the ad without losing a dime.

Yes, but with just one lens. "Ships from and sold by Photo Savings." 3,179 ratings, 99% positive

That's a problem that we, in Alaska have when ordering from Amazon (and other sellers). When I click on the link for "buying options" it just tells me that ther are no sellers available for this item. I have no idea why some sellers will ship up here and why others won't. However, the first page does say provided by and shipped by Amazon. The only thing I can think of, at this point, is that it also says, "This product will be available March 20, 2019."

I agree with Gecko. If sold BY Amazon it (should be) USA Warranty.

As a rule of thumb, if the ad doesn’t clearly state USA warranty, I ask the vendor point blank if it is.
No answer, or offered a service contract in lieu of, I don’t buy.

"...should be a USA warranty." Not of much value to the more than a dozen countries that Amazon serves.
Buyers bear the responsibility of verifying what they are buying. Variations from the MSRP is often a clue. Personally I prefer to buy from reputable dealers who provide equal or better service. Of course, if we all buy from large vendors, we will continue to see the decline of choices.

I purchase my Cameras and Lens from B&H because I know that I can rely on them for excellent product knowledge and service with good pricing. When it comes to accessories and miscellaneous small purchases I use Amazon because, being a Prime Member, I get free 2nd day delivery and free return shipping, a service that B&H cannot afford to do.

I generally agree with your statement about buying from large vendors, but Amazon is different. Amazon has become a major source of sales and income for over 5 million small business outlets, many of them Mom and Pop outlets doing business from home. As far as I am concerned, the Amazon Marketplace is a brilliant market plan that has provided business success to millions. Jeff Bezos, rather than try to drive his competitors out of business, realized he could make money providing a market share to everyone who wanted to join in by creating a win-win market. Helping other people make money for a small fee has helped him become the worlds richest man.

This will explain how and why it works. https://fitsmallbusiness.com/selling-on-amazon-marketplace/

I have seen several storefronts close, not because of competition from big box stores but because they started doing online sales which quickly started to outperform their storefront so they closed it down to stop the drain it was having on their overall business. Storefronts are expensive to keep open when all you really need is a desk and warehouse for storage.

Amazon is having a very hard time with sellers selling knock off products. It is now out of control. Good luck.
Always purchase through reputable dealers and not the BEST PRICE

I can only tell you my experience with Amazon grey market cameras. I have purchased two and in both cases the savings was greater than 25%. Both ads on Amazon were clearly marked, "International Version" and in the description it was clear that there would be no 1 year Mfg warranty. In both cases, other optional warranties were offered. I did not purchase the offered optional warranty but I did notice in both cases the optional warranties also covered dropped camera damage, theft coverage, etc which are not items covered in the normal included Mfg 1 year camera warranty.

However, with regard to your items, with the small amount of savings offered on the Amazon site, I doubt seriously they are grey market.

Just my experience for what it is worth.

Exactly. It's reasonable that Amazon or Adorama or B&H would have a $50 cheaper price than the others, but they're all gonna be close. Gray market would be much cheaper.

I'm glad that you like that Amazon is helping other people to make money, but my post is not about the virtues of Amazon.

In general Amazon or other reputable dealers will plainly say if a lens or camera is grey market. Amazon usually lists the item as “international version” - no warranty unless the seller offers one - usually 30 to 90 days.

I recently bought a Canon 77D from Amazon (or rather thru one of its sellers). It was gray market, but for $550 I got it and a 2 year sellers warranty, vs. $800 list from Adorama etc. To me it was a no brainer.

How about a link so we can see? Amazon itself is an authorized Fujifilm dealer and as such does not sell gray market Fujifilm products, but Amazon does have thousands of Marketplace vendors, some of which do sell gray market products. Look at "sold by" in the listing.

Risky business if purchased from vendor outside USA. Vendors usually do not provide guarantee.

First let me say I am not buying this. At least, I am not planning on it. Amazon is offering the new Fujifilm XT30 with XC 15-45 and XF 35mm lenses for $1,100.00. Adorama is not offering this combo and B&H is offering it with the 23mm in lieu of the 35 for $1,148.00. The difference is under $50.00. No where in the Amazon ad do I see a mention of gray market or Fuji warranty. Hence, my question. Anyone know, or am I missing something? Thank you

Not too long ago I purchased a 2TB Toshiba portable hard drive from Amazon. The drive failed after 11 months of usage, I first called Amazon and they told me that the drive was out of warranty and that I need it to call Toshiba. I got in touch with Toshiba and asked them for an exchange or money back, they asked me for the serial number and after I give it to them they told me the drive was not for US market so they could not honor the warranty of 2 years. I did a little research in a website that the Toshiba people give me and sure enough, the drive was gray market. So, I call back to Amazon and I told them that they sold me a gray market drive, they did not asked me any more questions, they just send me a new drive in two day. So, do they sell gray market stuff? You bet, they just don’t advertise it as such.

When you are dealing with a third party seller thought Amazon, click on the name of the seller, you will get to know if the seller is reputable or not. But remember you are still covered with Amazon’s return policy.
