I just don’t think I’d trust them. Like buying someone else’s clean but used underwear. They may be perfectly fine but the irrational part of me just says no. Given how cheap cards have become, why would one buy used cards anyway?
They may be just fine but the cost of new SD cards are low enough so I wouldn't buy used ones.
"Penny wise and pound foolish", comes to mind. I'd only buy new ones from a reputable dealer or computer shop. The savings cannot be worth it.

Amazon has never refused to make good any defective product that I purchased from them. They have one of the best purchase warranties in the business.
I lived in a town of fewer than 200 people in the West Texas desert 150 miles from the nearest Wallmart and they were my "shopping center" for 18 years and never in that time did they ever cause me a problem with a purchase warranty. You just had to make sure that you contacted them within 30 days, after that the manufactures warranty went into effect.
Depends on the price. If low enough, I'd consider buying a bunch of them to use in my pocket camera. As far as "not trusting them", they either work or don't work. Test each one first before using it for serious project. What's so difficult with that. I really don't understand why many photographers are so paranoid.

There's that. But can you tell me why you wouldn't trust them?
You are asking us if you should buy them. Apparently you don't trust them.

The thing about memory cards is that the warranty isn't that important. If they don't warranty the amount of money lost isn't much but even with warranty and you found out that the card failed while you out shooting the warranty doesn't do much good.
Would not trust used cards being sold.
Not to sound too paranoid, but a bigger concern might be what's on them. Like bargain basement USB flash drives, there is a potential for them being preloaded with a virus. It's been known to happen. Back in my working days as a software engineer, the company I worked for required all plug in memory devices to be scanned and cleared by IT before we could use them.
Used SD cards...That's a new one.
I'd be very leery and would steer clear of those. We all have enough problems by way of malware and virus attacks on the net. That caution should be enough reason for not buying used cards.
SD cards are so cheap I wouldn't risk it. I buy the Delkin cards. Never had an issue plus they guarantee them which others may also do.
Nope. As inexpensive as they have become it makes zero sense to me to buy a used SD card.
SD cards and Flash drives have been known to have software added to the drive, which you can not see. Once installed they can plant code on your PC which would allow unwanted action to take place. I would never used one that I did not have a personal trail of where the drive had been.
I bought some cards from an UHH member and he gave me a bunch of smaller cards that he no longer wanted as part of the deal. They work great! I have shot weddings with them.
