This is another experiment with the new lens. The light came from an overhead kitchen fixture. The background was black velvet stretched on canvas stretcher bars. An external flash was also used, but the images were brighter than I wanted. All were toned down in post.

This is kind of an unusual plant. It came with the bulb coated in some kind of wax and instructions to put it in a well lit place, no need to water. The instructions made it clear it will not regrow if planted after blooming. I will probably try to revive whatever is left of the bulb after it's through blooming anyway.

Good choice Bob. I think I like that one best, too. I'll probably get more shots of this plant before it's done. It's a good rainy day project.
