Shutterfly. My books are usually about 5x7" so serveral can stay on the table for people to browse through. Large books tend to be moved from the coffee table to out-of-sight shelves.
When I read your title I wondered why someone would want to publish a book with photos of coffee tables.
I tried Shutterfly and they had to redo 2 of my coffee table sized books because they manipulate my images after I set them all to their press parameters. One of the auto changes of the two surprises does have a global setting the other that can change your images you must turn off in each individual photo. For those who only create books with snap shot quality (and those images could be pretty good) images they do a good job. I finally found MixBook.com to be very close to MyPublisher.com which Shutterfly bought and closed down. For those that are looking for professional photo books PLEASE look else where. If anyone wants to discuss this further contact me at stuparr@stusplace.com. I can prove what I have stated.
I have used both Shutterfly and Blurb and prefer Blurb. I have also used InDesign to lay out the total book and shipped it off to a printer. I prefer the latter because it gives you a greater degree of freedom.

Recall that Seinfeld episode where Jerry had the idea to make a coffee table book about coffee tables? You have to laugh at that.
If you use "snapshot plus type of photos" then the automatic color adjustment Shutterfly is real good for those folks. I present press ready photos in my books and Shutterfly had to reprint 2 of my first coffee table books after they bought MyPublisher.com company and dissolved it. I can not use them. I found among several other book printers the one I like best is Mixbooks.com and they do every thing I need except the coffee table book size in lay flat pages. But Blurb is pretty good for what you send them is what you get in their printed books. Just a thought....! (I have proof of Shutterfly's manipulation of photos you put in their books, if interest... I have A Shutterfly account filled with my pictures. I have made two books, working on another. For me it has been very good and those who have received the books really like them. I like that I can work on the book at my leisure, save and do more at another time. Very easy to do any changes, add more pages etc.

I am interested in creating a coffee table photo book and was wondering if any of those that have had experience would be willing to share. Any tips would be much appreciated.
Make one with Blurb using their BookWright template. You won't be sorry.

Blurb via Lightroom does a good job. Pat
I second this. Just did my second an a few more to come. You can not only produce the book but put it in their store and sell them. I like the print quality and using the Book module in LR is very handy. Put your photos in a collection(or folder) put them in them order you want them and pick the templates. There is a learning curve but lots of videos on youtube. I like one stop shopping with LR!

My Coffee Table photography group is surprised and offended by your callous comment.
So many different coffee tables, so little time!
The most professional looking photo book that I have seen is photos printed and mounted in a nice album. I'm not talking the type of album that you purchase from Target. I'm talking an art type album. In this case the pages were all black and the photos were all b&w. Consult a local art store for the album and have your photos printed at a professional photo lab. In the Dallas area it is BWC Photolab.
