Very nice shot! Very nicely processed. I like both versions. The b&w impresses me as a beautiful study of shape, texture, lines, etc. The color brings to life our dreary winter beaches.

Both excellent shots! Have looked at both of them in DL a number of times. Each one has its strengths. In the first it is, of course, the richness and sharp contrast in color that is so appealing. In the second, the pattern of the fence and the mood are what prevail. I like the tonal range in the B&W. Well done on the composition. As Mike says, emotionally they impact us in different ways.

Thank you for your detailed assessment GreyOwl.

I especially like the black and white version. My favorite aspect of the color image is that the only colors are complementary yellow and blue.

Thank you for looking and commenting.
