I received a number of helpful hints when I asked about buying a used or a refurbished d750. It was a couple hundred dollars more than the used but the shutter count is only 1783 so it should last me as long as I can pick it up. Now to scratch up some green to get an FX lens. The 50mm and 90mm work but I really like a zoom. Saves walking back and forth. Thanks for your help.

We haven't seen a Big Brown Truck post with photo in a while.

Enjoy your new gear.

If you can find a used 24/120mm kit lens, it is not a bad lens for general use. If you are looking for something larger, the 200/500mm is nice also.

I wish the brown truck was beginning me a few new lenses etc, But in stead and because we're getting back a big lump from taxes.. we're getting things for the jeep instead.

Don't understand why you would consider a prime lens when you could get the 24-120. You'll have to explain that logic to me. I use the 24-120 and it is great.

When I bought online now they are delivered by white trucks. A few were delivered by black trucks.

The OP stated that he is looking for a zoom, not a prime. He already has a couple of those.

Just make sure it’s the newer one, the constant aperture f/4. I had one of the previous versions and was not happy at all.

Note I said I want a zoom. The two primes are what I already have. Found a 70-300 on B&H and it's on the way.

That will be a white truck. B&H now uses Fedex.

Isn't that what makes photography fun, the walking back and forth?

About as much fun as giving up your lawn tractor for a push mower!
