I disagree. A solution for getting a properly exposed interior AND exterior (view out the window) in the image when you can't (or don't want to) come back when the light would be more balanced. VERY useful, if used properly. Best of luck.

Wow! Let's hope that the broker is paying more than a hundred and fifty bucks for those shots. Magazine quality takes a lot of effort, and most clients don't want to pay for it.

I am often amazed at the poor quality of real estate photos, even on high end listings. And then I ask some of my local brokers what the going rate is, and it all becomes clear. In the age of the cellphone camera, expectations have come down dramatically. The purpose of listing photos is to make the potential buyer want to visit the property - the photos don't sell property, they sell showings. I am of the opinion that fewer and better photos are the best way to entice potential buyers.

Andy, RE guys, at least the MLS crowd - don't want to pay for quality images. They want just enough to put a thumbnail on a website, and maybe a couple of highlights of the house. Rarely do they take the time to properly stage the property, and rarely pay more than $200/house. That is not, and never has been, my clientele.

No doubt!

Hereabouts, the going rate is about $150, and most of the business goes to "My cousin Ernie, who has a nice camera". I had a broker tell me just last week that more than half of the listings at his very big agency use cell phone pictures.

The following pay better, Architects, Interior Designers, and Contractors to start with. Look at their websites to see their work.

Here are some samples for an interior designer I've done, late afternoon to evening.

How well do I get payed? Only need to do one project per week.

Nice work. I notice that every vertical is vertical and that the windows are not blown out - the difference between pros and wanna-bes.

If you bother with bathrooms at all, which you shouldn't unless they are spectacular, make sure the toilet lid is closed.

PP at least an hour per photo. Multiple exposures and then layers, color corrections, etc., using Elements.

Thank you
I have a friend that is selling a
Tokina 24-40mm F/2.8 lens for Nikon.
Is this a good lens for my Nikon 750 full frame camera? I want it for wide angle house and group shots.
