I tried to replace the blowout sky in this image. I was following directions for sky replacement using PE, which I didn't notice until it was too late. Here are the steps I followed-
Foreground Image
Open>Select All>Copy
Sky Image
Open
Paste Foreground on Sky Image
Magic Wand on Foreground image in area of sky to be replaced
Then Select>Modify>Expand 1 pixel
Then Select>Feather 2 pixels
Here's where I'm Stuck:
The next direction is to "Go to Edit>Delete" This move is supposed to make the sky in the sky layer visible.
In CS5 there is no Delete under Edit in CS5.
How can I perform this in CS5??

I use Elements and would use the computer's delete key.

Thanks MtnMan. Perfecto. (Your suggestion, not the image). I'll post it in the Gallery for your inspection.
Go to photoshopessentials.com and do a search for replcing sky and when it pops up look for a tutorial featuring a white house.Very good tutorial, easier than using magic wand and no fringing around edges.Good luck.

Thank you for that link. Very cool.
I have been considering going from Elements to CS6. Fortunnately I now can get it at the educational price. I think this convinced me to go for it.
I find this works really well for me. First I take a SKY image and make a PATTERN (in your tools on the left)so then you have different skies to chose from if you like.
Then on the image you want to replace do a quick selection..then go to refine edges do a pixel of 07 click on smart filter and your ready.."make sure you have that image enlarged so you can run your brush around your selection to make sure you get all the details. Click ok after you do that and then go to patterns and pick your sky and it will show up in image...Make sure the size of your sky is the same file size as your image or it won't match.
You can also search on You Tube...here is a link for one style different then I mentioned.

Using mask makes this a lot simpler. Here is a link to a decent tutorial on youtube. There are ones better for beginners because this guy uses a lot of shortcut keys without explaining what they are but it is easy enough to follow and shows a good technique for replacing skies using mask.
