The White Cottage, Glencoe, Scotland.
In the most magical part of the Scottish Highlands sits Rannock Moor, and at the northern end of the moor is the mighty Glencoe, with is legions, massacres and murderous history it dwarfs its surroundings and always lives up to its magnificent reputation.
The Massacre of Glencoe (Scottish Gaelic: Mort Ghlinne Comhann) took place in Glen Coe in the Highlands of Scotland on 13 February 1692, following the Jacobite uprising of 1689-92. An estimated 30 members and associates of Clan MacDonald of Glencoe were killed by government forces billeted with them, on the grounds they had not been prompt in pledging allegiance to the new monarchs, William III of England and II of Scotland and Mary II.

Thank you Jim. For me the drive across Rannoch and through Glencoe is only ravelled by the North Coast 500, and we will be back there in a few weeks and this time we have a cottage to too far from Glencoe so I will be there most days.

Wonderful use of the light, Geoff!
Glencoe is a favorite place - you can feel a gravitational pull of the mountains. Your picture is hauntingly beautiful.
