Any signs of mildew?
No! Absolutely not, the only imperfections that I can find in the lens are those few nicks in the Hood, I had purchased this lens for my son but he was unsure that he would get much use from it as he is not into birding or wild game pics. I have both a 500 f/4 and the 100-400 II so this lens will not see much use from me either. It is a very sharp lens, certainly sharper than the original 100-400 and probably sharper than 100-400 II but with the 500 that I have this lens will not see much use from me either. I will remind you that this lens does not have IS which really is not a big deal with shooting BIF because of the shutter speeds that photography requires, I find no problem using this lens without the IS in a myriad of different situations because it is not hard to get your shutter speeds above 1/500
Is lens still available? Where are you located? I have never done this before

Yes, it is. I am in Florida, the best way to transact on the internet is with Paypal as it protects both the buyer and the seller. As far as getting the lens to a buyer I will ship it insured to a confirmed Paypal address.

IS is image stabilization.
Is the mount FD or EF? I need to know what adapter I need for my Sony A7 II.

Sigma MC-11 will operate both auto focus and aperture with this lens.
