Does anyone use the 'Manfrotto MH804-3W 3 Way head'? And specifically, can the set knobs be set to have a slight resistance for flexible shooting? I'll be using it on a moderately priced carbon fiber tri-pod.
I have a ball head without an aiming arm which I miss.
I'm shooting a Canon 80D with an EF 100 - 400 4.5 5.6 L IS II USM 1/4 of the time and a Tamron AF 17-50 mm 2.8 IF most other times (usually hand held).
At less than $90, it's within my reach (since I just got the Canon lens new, and I'm married to someone who doesn't understand why I waste my money on photography 'things').

You may want to consider other buying choices too. Here’s a less expensive one of the same model, new.
There is no warranty though if you have a problem with it Amazon will accept the return with no charge or delivery fee.
I had the Manfrotto XPRO 3-way head which is a better version of the MH804-3W. The XPRO 3-way head is aluminum and has adjustable friction. The MH804-3W is made of technopolymer. The XPRO 3-way head is very precisely machined. I was impressed with its build quality and precision. The only reason I sold it is because I'm not fond of Manfrotto's quick release system. I'm starting to switch over to heads that have Arca-Swiss clamps.
