Here in Chiang Rai we are semi between the cold season and the dry season, so I have not seen a lot of interesting flowers during my morning bicycle rides. However, I did come across this one. Shot with a Fujifilm Finepix XP130.
Nice find and very nicely captured.

My fiancé was a landscape architect (lost to cancer 1 year ago next Wednesday...sigh) who planted this vine as cover for her patio. It’s a great cover. With the rain we’ve had here in Southern California this Winter, it was wildly covered in orange buds. I was going to attach a shot of the billowing orange vine to his message, but when I went outside this morning I discovered that the heavy rains over the last few days knocked many of the beautiful buds and blooms off, leaving a bit of a weatherbeaten plant behind. Kind of sad...it was beautiful. Maybe it’s mourning for Nancy.
Very nice, love the background.
