Hey everyone, looking forward to meeting new photographers...
I love sports photography and the technical aspects of needing to know your camera and lenses to shot 1/750 to 1/1500 shutter speeds in low (crappy) lighting without flash (gymnastics mostly). I'm always trying new things and expanding my portfolio.
Here's an example of my work to give you perspective on what I shoot and skill level.
Thanks,
Jim Cameron

That looks good to me.
Welcome to the forums.
Welcome to the group. I love shooting sports too. Being previously an animator, i try my best to capture the "strong pose" and the extremes of movement. I find that this produces the image that conveys the most action or emotion.
Welcome aboard. Good shot, well done.

Thank you to everyone!
I don't know how I've managed to be a photographer this long and miss this site! It seems like a great place for sharing experience, tips, tricks, advice, and getting honest feedback as well. Most places are full of trolls and the comments expose that. My first impression is great and will recommend this to others...
Thanks again,
Jim Cameron

Will look forward to seeing more of your work and hearing about your techniques. My Granddaughter is at Level 8 in gymnastics and my Grandson plays basketball. I have trouble getting good shots without noise in that kind of low lighting. My fastest lens is 3.5 and I'm shooting with a Canon7D. Not the best for low light sports, but it's what I have. Looking forward to seeing more.
