Found out (through a lot of failure) that when you use studio flash it is either purely serendipitous when you hit the part of motion that you want! (Or someone up there is looking out for you!) All that was done to these two was to crop and even out the background.

Welcome additions to this forum. Did the second shot have the same background as the first?

Yes--taken in the same sequence. Lightened the background in the first and then just blew it away in the second. Your opinion on the difference? Guess I was just embarrassed that I didn't repaint before the shoot! :-)

I prefer the shadows in No. 1. The pure white is too stark.

I cannot detect a paint problem. Maybe in a downloadable version.

Thank-you—on review I agree. Back to the drawing board! Also thanks for not noticing the paint job—I did try to lighten and/or spot out the biggest scuffs and smudges. Please watch for the post of a second try of #2.

Isn't it wonderful that we are not all the same! What a drab world that would be. Thanks for a counter-point. I guess art really is in the eye of the beholder.

I commented on your posts in the wrong order I see. I really like the first shot and as others above me have said, the less stark white is perhaps better.

The stark white one does look like her image is a paste-on decal does’t It. I will always have more to learn. Thanks for the observations.

It does, but I like the contrast. The first background just looks a bit "drab" to me.
