....from the garden when the sun came out for a while. I think I will dig out my monopod for better focus, such a narrow depth of field with tubes - I have a love/hate relationship with them.

These photos do show a good example of a very shallow depth of field. Reminded me why I haven't used the "tubes" in the drawer here for years. The subjects are very well in focus to my eyes - good job!

your focus is great,you dont need help. the mite is the only one i might agree with you but those little guys test us all

Yes, you have no need for self depreciation. Those are fine shots. I'd keep an eye on the first springtail. It looks furtive and sneaky.

And tho John, Paul, George and Ringo are the only English Beatles with whom I am familiar, I believe #2 is in the family Colydiidae. Antenna and head insertion fit.

That is because it is a 'mite' out of focus.🤒 And even if I am one of the finders, how to we find these creatures to start with? Perception. Interest.
