Always been happy with B & H with enlargers and darkroom equipment and of course they are tops for camera's.

Good lord - the OP is asking about Park Avenue camera in NY - does nobody read the question?

To the OP - keep away from them. Period.

As you have seen, B&H and Adorama are both excellent and reputable

Keep in mind that people are more inclined to complain than to praise.

Alternatives: Adorama, Amazon, B&H, Cameta, Costco, Crutchfield, Hunt’s, Robert’s

One of your links shows the location as Brighton Henrietta
Town Line Road. FYI, that road runs right past the front
gate of Rochester Institute of Technology ... the photo tech
center of this universe and all universes parallel to this one.

I seriously doubt a scamming operation can survive in that
location ... but OTOH I don't know how long that shop has
been at that location.

If there is another Park Ave Photo on Park Ave in NYC, I'd
just ignore them. Too many better options in NYC, so why
mess around ?

Park Ave Camera is a tourist shop, not very big and loaded with cheap crap mostly, they do carry some hi end but not that much.

"...Does anyone have experience with this store..." Jclear they had an out of production lens listed online (which I have been searching for)... I called them... was immediately informed that they didn't have that particular lens but offered another item (bait and switch)... I politely said no thank you and terminated the call... enough said...

Luckily B&H's used department finally got one in (9+) which I'm currently using... happy customer... B&H are honest and fair vendors... likely the finest in the photo kit market...

And welcome to the UHH Jclear... please allow me to apologize for some of the curt replies you may have received... Sadly there unfortunately are some toxic members here... The good news is there are some really talented and pleasant members on UHH also... just ignore the trolls... k?

I wish you well on your journey Jclear...

I don't think there was one comment by anyone who had actually done business with them. However , I use B&H and Adorama as both have been very good in price and service.
