While the scattered flurries were accumulating to about four inches ...
I will just get in line and add my kudos for excellent shots, Bill. The snow adds to the composition.

Thanks Bernie. I hope we get at least one good snow storm. Small birds on a mountain of snow look nice.

Thanks, glad you liked them. As usual when it is cold I was in my garage. I put a long lens on to get far back from the open window and had a heater at my feet.
Nice weather coming.
And I'll be on Jury duty.

Jury duty... I'd say, sucks to be you but I too have Jury duty next week so, sucks to be me. Oh well, at least they pay for parking. I just hope I don't get picked for a real case. The last two times were car crash cases and I didn't make it through selection questioning.
Beautiful series! Love the colors and detail.
PS.
I did jury duty on a "To Catch A Predator" case and it was the most frustrating day of my life. We had one bizarre lady that hung the otherwise unanimous jury based on the fact that he was apprehended BEFORE committing the act so therefore she could not be certain he would have followed through. Insanity.

Thanks very much for commenting. Glad you liked them.
I think by next time I'll be able to say no to jury duty based on age. I guess the next two weeks will be a good time to reread some camera manuals.

Once again Fantastic photos!!! What gear did you use to shoot the photos and what post processing did you do, if any??

Thanks Charlie.
These were all shot with an 800mm, some with D500 and others with a D850.
My post processing was done in Photoshop Elements.
Crop to 7.75 x 5.75 aspect ratio
Adjust Shadow/Highlight
Resize to 775 x 575 pixels
Adjust Levels
Unsharp Mask 250 / 0.2 / 0 (if necessary)
-------------------------------------------------
Open new (white bg) blank image 800 x 600 pixels {This is where I lose EXIF}
Drag original image in as layer
Create Drop Shadow
Flatten Image
Select All - Stroke to add 2 pixel black outline.
---------------------------------------------------
Save for web optimized for 150 kb
--------------------------------------------------
It took longer to write this than process an image.
-----------------------------------------------------------
There are times other tools are used. Primarily burn & dodge, clone, hue & saturation.
All are very good. A couple are great.

Thanks MT.
Yep, I went out several times the day of the snow to feed them. Snow always brings new arrivals, and some stay.
