You have opened the floodgates. You will plummet with all sorts of attacks on your on why are you even asking this question?. Don't you read past posts? Blah...Blah Blah. It's all self-serving for those who have no life past the Hog. There are many reputable stores/sites. Two that come to mind are B &H and Cambridge. Both in NYC. Check them both. I can walk to both of them. They both have a ton of stuff and good reputations.
My 2c !!
B&H are pros!!
Mazel tof !!

With a name like "Park Avenue" if you have to ask the price you can't afford it
Some good ones besides "Bell & Howell" ....
Adorama
Cambridge
Willoughby's (used to be on 32nd/ 6th moved to 5th/20s)
there's also Cameta but they are on LI.
Do yourself a favor and buy at a reputable store like B&H or Adorama. There are many more.
Cametta Camera is also excellent in inventory and service!
Good lord - the OP is asking about Park Avenue camera in NY - does nobody read the question?
To the OP - keep away from them. Period.
As you have seen, B&H and Adorama are both excellent and reputable

Welcome to the forum. Besides price, the key is buying a USA warranty product from the manufacturer and not the store. My father in law back in the 80's bought me a Nikon lens from them. Today, I prefer to do business with B&H.

i typed it in "search" ....nothing.... so don't get pi$$ed
Have been doing business with B&H for years And 10s of thousand of dollars and not the first problem. Great service.
the name of the store is simply PARK AVENUE? sorry but you phrase the question in a "questionable" manner
First off I won't tell anyone "I Told You So!" It means I know more than you. That is just not true. I don't know more about photography than anyone else.
Second. I like to go into stores. I "fondle" the merchandise. I don't like surprises later on. (My wife likes to buy stuff on-line.)
Third. Is the person behind the counter trying to sell me a camera or are they trying to make a commission? Do they know the product and can demonstrate it?
Fourth. Do they like their current job? Or are they just doing it now to put food on the table? --->
I spend a significant amount of time in a store. Most times I don't buy squat! It's my money and I'll spend it how I like.
As for big name stores I heard a few mentioned here on The Hog. I won't advertise one store 'cause I'm not getting paid!
My advice is be happy when you're in the viewfinder. If your not, you're not a happy camper at all. I mean "happy photographer!" Good Luck and Happy Shooting!
The eKomi reviews (and who IS eKomi?) are for a NYC vendor with positive but questionable reviews (all read the same) while the Yelp reviews are for a Rochester NY company that either sells questionable products (negative reviews) or photographs weddings well (positive review posted twice). All in all not very helpful.
