Today Feburday 03, 1959 60 years ago today the music died. Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper and Richie Valens died when the plane that Holly chartered for the band to fly them to Fargo, ND from there performance in Clear Lake IA. The plane toom off and, within se c.f. onds crashed into a field outside of town where all the band members including the pilot was killed. My cousin in Fargo has a front row ticket for the concert that was never used and he still has this ticket. Now all three of them are in Rock and Roll Heaven.
And this has what to do with photography?

Sorry, but this is in the wrong forum. It properly belongs in the "General Chit-Chat" section and not in this one.
At this time the post is in Upcoming Topics. It is my understanding the moderators make the decision on where it belongs.

You put this in the Main Photography category. This has nothing to do with photography. Next Time put it i General chit chat. You can call me negative if you want, but you are the one who posted that story in the wrong category. Also a little spell checking would not hurt. Just saying

Your understanding is incorrect. You have to choose the correct category in the pull down menu when you post.

Clearly you didn't check your facts.
I didn't post the original. I was simply defending the person who did. Your snarky reply with no explanation as to why this upset you so resulted in my response. If you read the rules for UHH the first one is "Be Polite".
These glasses are near the crash sight. If you are ever in the Clear Lake area, it is worth your time.
While we all appreciate music this forum really is about photography so if you have pictures of the afore mentioned subjects I would love to see them ! Otherwise please read where you are posting !
Tsk, tsk. We're really testy tonight it seems. You see, no mistakes are allowed on this forum. You will be put in your place if you err.

And it will be moved.
This is not about photography.
As to the subject. One can argue that the music dies every day...
But according to you that is a photographic subject.

That is where it is when I opened up my daily UHH newsletter. I see it in the General Chit-chat section. Perhaps it was moved.

I remember this event as if it happened yesterday. I was 15 back then.
Today is February 2. It does not, however, negate your point. It was a terrible loss to the music world.
