Hi, my Name is Mark and I just joined a few weeks ago. I've been interested in photography since the late 70s, early 80s. My wife got me involved with her Rolleiflex 35mm film camera. We moved on to a pair of Olympus OM1n camera bodies in the mid eighties, and finally went digital in 2005 with a Kodak point and shoot. It became clear early on that a p&s camera wasn't going to cut it after using slrs up to that point. About 2007 I purchased an Olympus e-510 that I used until 2016, when I bought a Nikon D7200 which I currently use. The only things I want to buy now are some accessories like a remote release, and maybe a few used better grade lenses to replace the kit ones that are not that great. I did purchase the 16-85mm lens, that I call a good "walking around lens" covers a lot of focal lengths that I need. This is a great site, the only question I have is where to go to post a picture for the first time.
Welcome to the forum.
Typically, you would probably want to post images in the "Gallery" for general display.
There are other forums for receiving critiques and other subject groups.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
Welcome to the forum Mark. I would go for the Photo Gallery as Longshadow suggested for posting your first photo.

Welcome. Have fun. I would first post in photo gallery.
Hello Mark and welcome to the Hog.
Thanks all for the welcome, this is the kind of site I was looking for, photographers helping each other. You can learn a lot just by paying attention to the info given by folks who are as enthusiastic about this hobby as you are. You can learn even more from the pros!
Welcome to the forum Mark. Thanks for the history. To post a new pic, go to the top of any page, and click the "Create New Topic" link, and you will be in the area where you post. The first dropdown is where you select Gallery, and then enter a description and at the bottom, you can select an image and check the Store Original, and then Add Attachment. Good luck. Looking forward to your posts.
