I got the hawk when we were at the lake to take pictures of the eagles. Since we were there and I though i might have wanted to play with PP, I took some extra pix of the lake, the trees and after I got home, I played with them. A few years later, I look at it and see lots of errors...lighting for one and I should have desaturated the hawk a good bit to fit the nighttime look. He's too bright to fit in. (It was noon with bright sunlight). Still it was fun and I may find time some day, to fix it.
Jo, you have identified the issues I felt were prevalent. Nice concept! I would also want the moon brighter. It will be a solid keeper! Thanks for sharing.
Jo, I corrected your title, though please know you have an hour to edit that, same as your text or photos.
"Took extra pics of the lake and trees" for future use - MinnieV calls it harvesting pixels. Love that idea!
This will be well worth re-working when you get time. Definitely brighter moon (and the reflection on the water) and not so bright hawk. A bit of advice I've received off and on over the years (I'm a slow learner, lol) is you either want to strive for realistic or go all the way to fanciful; don't get stuck in between
Attractive close up of the hawk Jo.

Thank you for looking and commenting. For many years I have just played with this but if I am going to post more here, I need to get a little more serious and up my game! When I get time I'll fix all those things that need help in this one...not sure when "time" will decide to be kind!

I agree Linda. I've just played with this for about 10 years but if posting, I guess we need to take a little closer look at what we're doing, even if just playing. Thanks again.

Thanks Karin. He looks a lot better in color but I thought B/W worked a bit better on this one.
