I had not paid attention to this section. I've been enjoying it for a couple weeks. With a mix of fear and resistance to sharing my images, I'm throwing most caution to the wind.
Several years ago, I spent several months in a Lake Havasu City, AZ RV park. The place is a mix of beauty and ugliness. There really is a relocated London Bridge. No matter what I did, I couldn't get the beauty part in or out of my camera. You can see the gorgeous desert, the Colorado River, skies and desert plants. Getting them all in a photograph was not happening. At the time I was taking a Photoshop Elements (version 9?) course from Jan Kabili. I decided to do my first fake photo. My wife agreed. Her only reactions was, "It looks fakey".
I still like the photo. It violates so many rules! A printed version hangs above my desk and is one of a very few that does not get rotated.
First of all, I am so glad you felt comfortable enough to post here, Bill. Secondly, it's wonderful to hear that you liked this work enough to hang it and enjoy all this time. Your comments epitomize to me what photography - as a hobby - is all about.
I'm thinking you created this with the guided edits of PSE? Coincidentally, a dear lady who used to inspire us all in PP Forum back around 2013, Heirloom Tomato started a "wave" of fake reflection postings and I well remember the fun of trying several myself!
I do hope you're not "one and done" with this posting
I didn't do it with guided edits. I'm not sure version 9 had them. Frankly I forget exactly what I did and I can't open the PSD in elements anymore!
One and done? We'll see......
I'm behind a little on current work!! I drifted from Photoshop Elements 9 or 10 to Lightroom 4 and on. Post processing has been gradient and brush adjustments for awhile. When Adobe "anointed" me as an "ACP" the access to all the software buried me! I need to schedule some Photoshop time!
Meanwhile I do have some things from my past! I've got another older personal favorite from inside a Danish church. It combined 36 exposures and was loaded with painstaking removals.
After that might be my fun filled effort at capturing body shop (cars!) art.

A full schedule! No complaints from the wife about being underfoot, I bet
Thanks again, Bill.
It works very well for me.

Rule breaking is your prerogative. Now that you've stuck your toe in the water by posting this cool composite, keep going! Sometimes you actually WANT a composited image to look fake (my dam bird Folly image is one of those). Sometimes you want it to fool the eye completely. Sometimes you just want the viewer to wonder... All of them are fine. They are your pictures and creations!
With all the cool software, there are no limits except time and expertise. The latter we can improve upon but alas, time is a more finite problem.

Thanks for the encouragement! "With all the cool software..." is a great understatement.

The first trick will be using Lightrooms tools to find the image. If you promise that you are really looking forward to it and not teasing me (!!!), I'll get the church shot up today.

No one and done athletes allowed here 👏

Please do!! I always enjoy looking at your work!! The only prerogative is that you have fun doing it.
I did it. The number two fake is up.
