I have a new Sony rx10 and am having trouble getting a tripod that is steady enough with the lens out. I have tried two now but both had a vibration when I hit the shutter button.
Any advice good tripod without breaking the bank?

Since you are new, do a search on tripods. You will find a plethora of opinions and information. Keekp in mind it is all about the physics of vibration. Search for Gene51. He has scientifically informed opinions. Not everyone will agree with him.

Your camera is a bit lighter than my lightest bridge cameras and less than half the weight of some of my dslr's and lenses. With the heaviest lenses I use a bar tht lets me move the camera back towards me so that the center of gravity for the camera and lens is over the center of the tripod.

I've had and used this tripod for 7 years, both with the remote timer for time exposures up to 15 seconds and by taking a half breath, holding it and slowly squeezing the shutter (like target shooting with a rifle) for normal exposures. Never had a problem with wobble or any knd of motion blur. But never used it in windy conditions either. It still sells for $51 new which is what I paid for it 7 years ago.

I use the Slik Pro 700 DX. Costs under $100 without a head or $169 with a pan head. Extremely sturdy and well built. Tall enough that I don't have to stoop. Seems steady even with the center pole extended. But, it is a bit heavy for much field work. Excellent for around the house or close by!

Does the Sony RX10 xxx have an IR shutter release capability? If so , with a cheap aftermarket IR transmitter, you can trigger your shutter with IR (which causes zero shutter button activation induced camera shake). Even better than a handheld wired release. but unfortunately the iR receiver on the camera seems to be in the front so the transmitter/controller has to be ahead the camera (but out of the field of view). Also IR range seems to be limited to about 15 feet. My radio controlled wired setup has unreliable communication between the hand held radio controller and the radio receiver that is hanging from a wire plugged into the side of the camera body. There is probably no perfectly and conveniently usable totally shakeless shutter button press substitute.

I've got a $400 carbon fiber tripod that weighs 2.5 lbs and has a load capacity of 55 lbs with a top leg diameter of 28mm. It is not stable enough to settle down my RX10m4 to my satisfaction. I have a $600 tripod with a load capacity of 66 lbs and a top tube diameter of 37mm. The extra 9mm does make the difference in axial and torsional rigidity. I cannot think of a single tripod that is under $300 that will provide satisfactory results with the RX10M4. The angle of view, as well as image magnification - will dictate how stable a tripod you will need. Getting the right tripod now will save you money in the long run. Going cheap will only help you build a collection of light-duty tripods, none of which will settle down a lens with an angle of view equal to a 600mm lens on a full frame camera. Once you embrace this fact, you'll be able to make an informed decision about how much you will need to spend on a tripod to get the level of performance you are expecting.

If you are using a flexible head like a gimbal, and do not intend to "lock it down" then you can use a slightly less sturdy tripod. My guess is that you are locking it down and getting vibration.

Here is a video explaining one approach to using a long lens. It uses your body to stabilize the camera and lens. It works for me.

Wired remotes for the RX10 are very inexpensive. Off brand is fine ( vello). Wireless even better for versatility. I use both types regularly. If your tripod swings in a mild breeze, it's time for a new tripod.
