I've had NIK plugins since before Google purchased them. The only one I use regularly is the same as you used here. I use that filter on 99% of the work I post here.

In Color Efex, I often use the darken edge/lighten center in lieu of a vignette for more subtlety

Thanks Bob! Now I'll be watching to find evidence in your posted photos

Great subject. I’m gonna pay attention here. I’ve owned Nik for a few years. Even updated to the DxO version, but I seldom use them. I should use them more. FWIW, there’s a British author named Robin Whalley that has written several books on how best to use the toolset.

Another book I’ve been quite pleased with is NIK SOFTWARE CAPTURED by Cornell and Haftel. Still available, I picked up a slightly used copy off Amazon for less than $10 incl p&s a couple years ago.

Excellent, thanks!

Click here for current offerings. I have purchased two or three used books through amazon that were all in great condition.

I use Glamour Glow a lot, and the Image Borders filter is very useful.

Thank you, Dan! I tend to forget about the image borders, and in fact can't recall if you can change the color. Time to review that video!
