the lichen was on a fence,yes handheld i used the sigma 150. next time i will use the sigma 105
a full set of tubes and a raynox 250.i dont think my light will be bright enough for all that

I would love to have one of these, unfortunately, they don't make one for Sony and last I spoke with them they didn't have any plans to do so

Thats looks like it has lots of potential, for subjects like lichen a tripod would not be out of the question, we won't look I promise.

I think you can do this 'hand held', which technically includes resting the lens on a very firm surface. Maybe stacking very small subjects that are less than 2mm across might be asking a lot without a tripod. But I really don't know.
