I recently shot some BIF's using panning and the high speed continuous mode of my camera. I wondered what would happen if you took 2 or more of those shots and combined them using Lightroom's panorama function (you could also use the similar function in Photoshop). Sure, I know you could composite them together in PS using selections and layers, but this was an experiment. Here's what I discovered:
1. Sometimes it works well, as in the attached photo, wherein I've made a pano using two shots of the same bird.
2. Sometimes LR only wants to use one of the birds. I don't know why.
3. Sometimes LR attempts to merge two shots of the bird into one weird creature.
4. In one pano, the two shots of the bird both looked fine. But, they were flying over water and LR chose to include only one bird's reflection on the water. I solved that by cloning.
I don't have LR, but this is certainly a cool result!
Ain’t it fun to try something new and different.
