Why can't I see the focusing frame when I looked at it in the view finder? ( see photo) I can only see it if I cover it with one of my fingers. Sorry to identify exactly the name parts which I'm not so familiar with it. Thank you for your answer. I will really appreciate it

Which frame are you talking about?
What did you cover with your fingers?
I used to have Leica M3, M2 and M4 and could probably help you if you clarify a bit more.
Are you talking about the small, yellow focusing square ? The rangefinder becomes more and more invisible in time, and it will be impossible to repair.

I'm not sure which one your not seeing. Are you talking about:
The outside frame for 50mm
The inside pop up frame for 90 or 135mm
Or the focusing area in the middle
I shoot an M3 System at the present time - as well as digital.

[ The white frame inside the picture I just posted. I'm so sorry if I wasn't able to ID the name of it. I am suppose to see that thing every time I peek on the viewfinder. Right?

You can only see it if you have a lens attached, for example 90 mm. A 35mm lens has no frames visible.

You should be able to see the different frames if you push the lever on the left hand side.

Oh, I see. That's the one that is broken. The lever handle. I went to a different repair shop but not even one has a replacement for that..
:-( Thank

The inner frame is to show the field of view with either a 90mm or 135mm lens. As you mount the lens the approriate frame line should appear. No inner frames are visible when a 50mm is mounted. The lever is a preview lever to allow you to see the field of view of the two lenses and select the best one prior to mounting the lens. Even if the lever is broken, the appropriate frame should appear when the lens is mounted.
You might contact YYe Camera, Youxin Ye or Kanto Camera in Japan. Good luck.

Right now Summarit 1:1.5 f=5cm is attached to the camera. Is that the reason why I can't see the inner frame?

Yes. That is a 50mm lens. The outer frame shows the field of view for it. You won't see ANY inner frame without mounting a 90mm or 135mm lens or using a working preview lever. I'm sorry if that wasn't clear in my previous post.

PS. The Preview lever doesn't move much, maybe 20 to 30 degrees. One way for 90mm and the other way for 135mm. It is spring loaded and doesn't move much. Don't break it.
