I prefer the B/W over the color version. It highlights the character in her face. I find the color to be a distraction, and takes away from that look.

Yes, I agree. The color version was my original raw capture, somewhat embellished. I knew I would likely convert to B&W, and spent my processing time there. Thank you for your insight.

I agree that those bright areas are distracting. There is a ton of character in that face and you captured that very nicely.
