I have a Lytro square camera and I like the size and pictures it takes. However, the program Lytro created is lousy and since Google bought the company nothing is happening. Also, I recently converted my old Apple to Linux Mint since it was no longer upgradable and It has gotten a new lifeline. My question is, is there a program in Linux that can download the Lytro format?
Lytro had a rocky start, and they must be relieved that Google bought the company. I think they switched from handheld cameras to the movie industry.
Had forgotten about the one in back of a drawer here. Used it to photograph my senior softball games. Took about 10% of the photos as were done with the DSLR because of the adjustable focus out from one shot. Shooting through the chainlink fence, focus for printing could be set using one shot to where the catcher, batter, pitcher, second baseman, center fielder and on to the scoreboard were with all else blurred.
Thanks for the info. I have looked at the info but I think it is still in the making. I find that Linux takes some degree of tech knowledge which I don't have as of yet maybe in the future. In the meantime I am keeping my Lytro camera in the back drawer.
