Back to topic, catholic kids and the Activist. Ask yourself what you would do if a stranger approached you and started banging their drum in your face. Your spouses face? Your kids face? It's an aggressive move no matter how you slice it. Seems to me the kids and especially the one with a drum going off in his ear showed commendable restraint.

I just wanted to take the time to express my utter contempt of the disgusting BigYahoo who started this thread immediately accusing innocent kids of horrible behavior and defending the actions on a demented leftist who attacked the kids. My contempt is also directed at the usual suspects who came to the aid of the disgusting BigYahoo, folks like thom w, kraken, texcaster and especially the contemptible jcboy3.

Curious, this guy says he was a ranger in Vietnam. By all of the news accounts I've seen, he is currently 64. Lets be generous and place his 64th birthday back in Jan 2018. This would mean he was eligible for the draft in Jan. 1972, so again, let's be generous and say he immediately enlisted started Basic Training in Feb. 1972, figure 4-5 months for basic and AIT, that puts us at around July 1972. Now lets be generous once more and say he was immediately assigned and sent to Vietnam, that would put him in theater Aug. 1972, and that's the earliest he could be there WITHOUT going on to ranger school. Well that's a problem, the US was already well underway withdrawing combat troops from Vietnam then, in fact, the last combat troops left that theater with the flag Aug. 1972. Hmmmmm, this guy's story isn't adding up at all.

"I did not feel safe in that circle," said Kaya Taitano, a student at the University of the District of Columbia who participated in the march and shot the videos.
She told CNN that the teens were chanting things like "Build the wall" and "Trump 2020."


"It got pretty intense, Taitano said, so Nathan Phillips, an elder with the Omaha tribe, started playing his drum and chanting what she was told was a healing prayer, to help defuse the situation.


Phillips walked through the crowd, and Taitano said things were starting to calm down until he got to the grinning boy seen in the video.


"This one kid just refused to move and he just got in Nathan's face," she said.
Other boys circled around, she said. "They just surrounded him and they were mocking him and mocking the chant.

Phillips is a Vietnam veteran who says he served between 1972 and 1976. He is a former director of the Native Youth Alliance and holds an annual ceremony honoring Native American veterans in Arlington National Cemetery."
