Check out the tweet from D-KY Representative John Yarmuth. MAGA Caps seem to be poisonings young minds. (Really)

Now that the whole situation has been proven bogus, says he was joking.

The Nazis were horrible. That's not up for debate. But we also often overlook their accomplishments in such a short time. Crazy stuff.

The jet engine
magnetic recording tape
pioneers in rocketry (who knew they could be used for peaceful endeavors?)
the computer (Konrad Zuse in 1936 “Z1”)
the helicopter

to name a few non-lethal inventions.

Does Orson Welles speak to this in his 1949 film, the Third Man?

in Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace – and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock.

Orson Welles

Back to topic, catholic kids and the Activist. Ask yourself what you would do if a stranger approached you and started banging their drum in your face. Your spouses face? Your kids face? It's an aggressive move no matter how you slice it. Seems to me the kids and especially the one with a drum going off in his ear showed commendable restraint.

Much of the following was copied and pasted. Mostly from Wikipedia

"Charles Babbage was considered to be the father of computing after his invention and concept of the Analytical Engine in 1837. The Analytical Engine contained an Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU), basic flow control, and integrated memory; hailed as the first general-purpose computer concept.

John Vincent Atanasoff (October 4, 1903 – June 15, 1995) was an American physicist and inventor, best known for being credited with inventing the first electronic digital computer. Atanasoff invented the first electronic digital computer in the 1930s at Iowa State College."

War always supercharges invention, the NAZIs get no special credit for that. Magnetic tape recording predates the NAZIs coming to power. The first helicopter is subject to debate. To suggest we wouldn't have these things today is absurd, and to some might reflect poorly on you.

His birthday is February 22nd. Also, he claims to have done two tours as a "Recon Ranger" with the USMC. There is no such thing.

Maybe he meant the Marine's "Force Recon", but they left the RVN TO in 71.

I know a lot of this stuff goes way over your head, so let me dumb it down a bit for you.

You will note that I specifically said "combat troops" left in Aug. 72. If he was any SOC in the army, he would be considered Combat Troop. Combat troops are the soldiers who actually fight the enemy, they make up a bit over 30% of the army forces deployed in Vietnam, the rest are Non Combat forces, ie. Logistics, HQ/Administration, & Support units.

This guy has stated he was a Recon Ranger(but let's give him the benefit of the doubt and just assume he meant "Force Recon" maybe with an Army Ranger tab) in the Marines. With the exception of a few Admin and Embassy guards, the Marines left the Vietnam Theater in the summer of 71, and it's highly doubtful they would deploy a Force Recon for embassy guard duty as it isn't their specialty. Since they were withdrawing, not deploying in 71, he would have had to go over in 70, when he was 16, which means he would have had to enlisted when he was 15 going on 16 at the latest. Highly doubtful.

With that said, what I can believe is that he did join the Marines and served during the end of the Vietnam war, but it's really unlikely that he actually served in Vietnam. But even then it seems strange that he claims to have been a Recon Ranger when there is no such designation. I grew up in a military family and from my experience, people who served are very clear on terminology and classifications--which is usually what trips up those falsely claiming to have served.

I seriously doubt that a real Marine would screw up that moniker. He specifically called himself a "recon ranger" and repeated it many times. Also, somehow I find it hard to believe that a real Marine would try to intimidate American kids ; for some reason I keep thinking they are committed to defending them.

Nathan Phillips is now on the radar screen and I suspect we may soon learn more about him.

I just wanted to take the time to express my utter contempt of the disgusting BigYahoo who started this thread immediately accusing innocent kids of horrible behavior and defending the actions on a demented leftist who attacked the kids. My contempt is also directed at the usual suspects who came to the aid of the disgusting BigYahoo, folks like thom w, kraken, texcaster and especially the contemptible jcboy3.

You have revealed yourselves to be despicable creatures and what's most worrisome is that you are not even troubled that you were so wrong.

Have you no shame?

Curious, this guy says he was a ranger in Vietnam. By all of the news accounts I've seen, he is currently 64. Lets be generous and place his 64th birthday back in Jan 2018. This would mean he was eligible for the draft in Jan. 1972, so again, let's be generous and say he immediately enlisted started Basic Training in Feb. 1972, figure 4-5 months for basic and AIT, that puts us at around July 1972. Now lets be generous once more and say he was immediately assigned and sent to Vietnam, that would put him in theater Aug. 1972, and that's the earliest he could be there WITHOUT going on to ranger school. Well that's a problem, the US was already well underway withdrawing combat troops from Vietnam then, in fact, the last combat troops left that theater with the flag Aug. 1972. Hmmmmm, this guy's story isn't adding up at all.

I don’t know his military history, but the left has a history of promoting phony soldiers.

"A crowd of teenagers surrounded a Native American elder and other activists and mocked them after Friday's Indigenous Peoples March at the Lincoln Memorial.

Videos of the confrontation show a smiling young man in a red Make America Great Again hat standing directly in front of the man, who was playing a drum and chanting. Other kids could be seen laughing, jumping around and making fun of the chants.

"I did not feel safe in that circle," said Kaya Taitano, a student at the University of the District of Columbia who participated in the march and shot the videos.
She told CNN that the teens were chanting things like "Build the wall" and "Trump 2020."

"It got pretty intense, Taitano said, so Nathan Phillips, an elder with the Omaha tribe, started playing his drum and chanting what she was told was a healing prayer, to help defuse the situation.

Phillips walked through the crowd, and Taitano said things were starting to calm down until he got to the grinning boy seen in the video.

"This one kid just refused to move and he just got in Nathan's face," she said.
Other boys circled around, she said. "They just surrounded him and they were mocking him and mocking the chant.

We really didn't know what was going to happen there."
Phillips is a Vietnam veteran who says he served between 1972 and 1976. He is a former director of the Native Youth Alliance and holds an annual ceremony honoring Native American veterans in Arlington National Cemetery."

As expected and per usual, once the facts come out, the Libs who jumped all over these kids and viciously attacked them based purely on the usual sources feeding the Dem Useful Idiots, they are shown to have spit their venomous biased bile at totally innocent kids. Here is the report from the independent investigator hired to look into the incident completely vindicating the students from Covington Catholic High School :
