I do like the trees and the clouds as they render a pleasing affect in a totally natural setting that is Real Life and not staged in any fashion.

OK - I'll be the first (I think). I know I won't be the best. I only have the rising Super Wolf Moon - can't wait to see what everyone gets!

Good job!!! It was a tough shoot last night, you did good, nice effect.

COLD here!!! 3°F Brrrrr! Didn't want to take time to set up tripod. ;-( Bundled up and went out a couple times before and during for a few quick handheld 300mm shots. Canon 60D Sigma 18-300. Why can't these things appear on a nice 50 degree night?

Very nice. Colorful clouds, silhouetted tree. Not the usual boring shot of the moon itself. What was your exposure settings?

This is the best I could get. I could not get a sharp focus to save my life. Super-cold here, too - I believe it was about 9 degrees farenheight. The angle was nearly straight up, too, so my tripod was wonky as all get out & I had to lay on the ground to get my eye behind the viewfinder.

I like the trees and clouds as well. The fact that the moon was high in the sky and -12 deg F wind chill made for a challenging shoot from the driveway.

Wow! You are the winner! These shots are the best and belong in Astronomy or Sky& Telescope Magazines. You got the best exposures and the placement is outstanding.

Try again im cold

I about froze me toes out there for over two hours last night. I used my Canon 60D, EF 70-200 f/2.8L IS USM , with Bogen 3126 tripod. I used the manual focus with the ring taped down with black tape as suggested here. The articulated view screen and my camp chair added some comfort as Live View mode confirmed my progress. My first attempt at night photos confirms, this is not easy. I'm open to any comments you want to share.

Well, just for sh**s and giggles, I thought I would share this one as well - from an eclipse several several years ago. Still never got the blood moon.
