Hi everyone, I'm new here, I like to read about photography tips and tricks, I have a Sony a5000 and am still learning and practising. I made an attempt at the lunar eclipse last night but couldn't get the right settings to show the "blood moon" . But I'll keep trying, I have two years to figure it out. Outdoor shots are great with my camera, indoors depending on the room and lighting I'm hit and miss, but they say practise makes perfect. I hope to learn a lot more here on your forum.

Hi Angelica! Welcome to UHH. I have found it to be a great place to learn. Be sure and scroll down to the bottom of your Home page to see some of the different sections that UHH has to offer. As with any online forum The Hog has its share of trolls but there are also lots of knowledgeable folks on UHH that are happy to offer suggestions and answer questions so fire away!
Welcome, Angelika! You will be able to get great photos with your Sony up there in Saskatchewan, the stars must be bright at night, and you probably can see the northern lights. Let us know when you have questions!
Welcome, Angelika!
An excellent resource (assuming you have not already read it or similar) is Bryan Peterson's, "Understanding Exposure", readily available.
Good luck and enjoy the experience.

Welcome Angelika, you picked out a great forum to join. Ask questions, you will get many different answers. Post some of your work and ask, and you will get different critiques. But most all will be from people helping you to get better. But above all.....make some friends, talk to them, pm them, and of course, have fun...!
