I lost Sam in August 2017 and Casey in October 2018. Lasted 3 1/2 months without a pet. Got Marty on 15 Jan. from the Santa Fe Humane Society. German shepherd mix and "they" say 7 years old. We are still adjusting but life is not lonely any more. The ice is my back yard and the bird was a visitor this morning. It didn't stay very long. Hope you enjoy.

Great shot of Marty. Mahalo for the rescue. Am sure you will have many great years with him. Nice set -- let you keep the ice. Mahalo for sharing.

It looks like Marty has made himself right at home. A very lucky dog, and a forever family.

Out door pictures make me glad to be in the sunny southwest.

I have Murphy a 5 year old Heeler who lived in a back yard and a kennel and had never been in a house until I got him. Rescue dogs are a ton of work but worth every minute of it.

The first Lewis' Woodpecker is a great shot. For me they have always been difficult to find and I never got a decent shot.

Marty looks quite comfortable in his new home. Nice shot, but I'd like to lighten his face a tad.

Oh, OK. I saw one in Colorado a few years ago, but yours looks like he's wearing a Tutu. Must be because of the cold. I never got a photo of it so you're one up on me.

Lovely dog, and the first picture of the bird looks like it has a red skirt on...
