Aspect Ratio to Print Size

I like to compose in the camera for my final print, so I have always used 2:3, so I get prints of 4X6, 8X12, my personal favorite 16X24 and 20X30.

I buy frames at yard sales and antique shops, so must crop to aspect ratio of frame...simple math just divide. l/w

Can't you simply enter those custom dimensions into Capture One and let it figure out the ratio? In Lightroom if I enter 50 and 25 into custom crop it sets the crop ratio to 5:2.5 so that the width is twice as wide as it is tall.

There also are dial proportion scales. Print shops have used them for yeqrs...
