the animals we saw in Iceland were LOTS of sheep-they are everywhere and the darling small sized horses.
Also saw a few cows at some of the farms as we drove by
Great pics. Looked like a great trip.

Very, very nice. Thank you so much for allowing us to take your journey with you. The photographs are wonderful!
All have great impact for me. A clinic on composition and storytelling!
A little story about the horses of Iceland. It is illegal to import any horses to Iceland. If you take one out of the country it can never return, it's the law. These horses are pure breed Icelandic horses and they protect them with a passion. Now you may have seen that many of the resturant's in Iceland offer horse as a entrée. These are not Iceland horses, they are imported but have to be frozen meat to get in the country, mostly from Europe. Apparently horse meat is a thing with those folks.
Something I did learn while visiting there two years ago... BTW your images are awesome, loved them.

thank you and thanks for the info--I am glad we ate at no resturants, I would not want to see or eat horse meat. they are smart to keep the blood lines pure of these gorgeous animals
