This photo shoot was done at the regional park in Brentwood Ca. Round Valley.
Great location to do shoots. It's becoming very popular with photographers.
My model Hannah is a former cheerleader at her high school. Fun personality which made my work easier and fun to photograph.
I'm trying to better my photography. I'm still trying to reach that professional level... Hope you enjoy my work.
CC welcome, just be nice about it. Thank you
All good but no# 2 and 5 jump out to me, eyes have it.
I think these are quite beautiful! Your lighting is very nice - what did you use for these outside shots (in regards to lighting)?
Re: kadams "Hannah" Great work. Couldn't be better. Davidb
I would have no problem calling these "professional portraits". If you can shoot this well, you could use these in a portfolio promoting your work for high-school senior portraits. Probably you would do equally well for family portraits. Maybe you just need confidence in your abilities!
They are all good which is relatively easy to do with a model that attractive. For me #6 and #7 are the best. The close-ups do her most justice. I have a problem with #2; it looks like her right elbow is floating in the air. It might have helped if an image of a sharp and visible "support" could have been included in the final image. The branch in #3 is very distracting and should have been excluded. Again they are all good image and you have done a great job. I enjoyed them.

Beautiful pictures of a beautiful model. Look carefully at #3. Her left hand needed to be moved closer to her body.
@deer2ker Thank you for taking the time to comment on my work.
the lighting I used was an external flash(strobe) on camera with a soft cover defuser. My camera used is a NIKON D750 Lens 24mm-120mm
Hi kadams, the lighting, colors, and posing are wonderful. Looking at the details, at first I thought you were using a softening process. But, when viewed in detail at 100%, one can see the focus is a bit sharper at the center of frame. I suggest you work with individual focus points selectively set exactly on one of the subject's eyes, typically the closest to the camera. If you look at the right hand finger nails of #6 and compare those to the eyes, you should desire that level of sharpness on the eyes rather than on the hands. #1 is similar where the fabric below the bib button is sharper than the subject's eyes. Consider too leaving less open space above the subject's head for all the images except #9. Try recropping some of these as an experiment and reduce the open space by 1/3 to 1/2 to even 2/3, use the nearness of the horse's ears to the top edge of the frame in #9 as an example / model for the recropping the other images.

It is nice to have an attractive model, but your work is solid.

You have created some very stunning Portraits of this young lady, you definitely have excellent talent in Portrait Photography, I would consider your talent at the least as Semi-Professional level, if not higher, in which you will be able to consider a Portrait Business venture.
Beautiful work. I wish one day I could take lovely portraits, just like these.
She's a lovely, wholesome looking girl and your images do her justice - beautifully done!
