I was so excited to be able to (unexpectedly) capture these images! I was on the beach with my husband, snapping shots of him fishing, when all of the sudden I looked up and this was happening! The eagle had the seagull, which I thought was cool enough, but then he dropped him and recaptured him! (I had no idea an eagle would even eat a seagull.) He then took him to his perch and all we saw were feathers flying (while another eagle sitting in a tree nearby looked on.) These are cropped considerably; (too much???) I was using my 70-200 lens.

Great capture. Sometimes (often?) we get so focused on the subject of the moment, we forget to look around (pun intended). There's a whole big world out there with a lot happening outside of the field of view. Good work!
