My last post showed a male Pileated Woodpecker - this is a female from the SAME tree days later !
Canon 80D, Canon 400 prime W/1.4X handheld, 1/1000, f8, 1600 ISO in challenging mid mourning light.
The Green Heron was a chance encounter using a friend's knowledge of locale.
Canon 80D, Canon 400 prime, w/1.4X hand held sitting/braced, 1/800, f8, 320 ISO in perfect late afternoon light from behind me. 8-)
As always, shot as JPEG and PP on my XP computer in Elements 9.
..
Both really nice, but I particularly like the green heron. Sharp and the colors are beautiful.
Very nice. Love the Greenie! I've seen a Pileated in my back yard several times recently but he isn't much of a poser.
