They go after Republicans on the national stage, but in state matters, it's a very low key issue

In order for there to be immoral acts you must first believe that morality has weight. I don't believe in morality I believe in ethical behavior. If any person is of age of consent and indeed does consent then there is no ethical issue. This holds true for ANY PERSON regardless of party affiliation. I found nothing wrong with the Senator from Utah toe tapping his way to a blow job other than he broke the law. The same goes for this guy if there is a law that is broken then sure he should be punished. But I make no moral judgement on their behavior it is not my place to do so.

Typical of what...my posting is equally balanced. The homosexual act of a Democrat having sex in a public men's lavatory is perfectly balanced by former Senator Larry Craig doing something or attempting something similar. I don't care what they do in the men's room, the bedroom, park or even their cars. I only care about the effective operation of government. I make absolutely no moral judgement on politicians. Now, when Jerry Swaggart got caught or there's a pedophile Priest there is reason for concern because those individuals hold others to a moral standard. Politicians are not in a moral standard type of business their performance is based on the ethical procedures of government.

So if you had a 17 year old daughter & I had sex with her you'd be OK with that?...I hold public officials to a higher standard, be it moral ethical or whatever. The fact that he was a 56 year old man trolling for sex acts doesn't say much for his character & as such I wouldn't want someone like that in a position of public trust. If you don't care then you must be one sick puppy...

If it is legal then it is fine with me. If someone's 17 year old daughter ends up with a 56 year old man then that's her parents' responsibility. My children know better. I don't understand your obsession with the sexual habits of others. It is really none of your business unless that is how YOU get your jollies. Wink-Wink

So what are you saying here? You claim to have no morals, that whatever anyone wants to do it is ok, yet you state your "children know better"? If you believe that it is ok for a 56 year old man to have sex with a 17 year old boy, then what is it that your children know better than to do? It must be ok for them to have sex with 56 year old men, because it is ok for someone elses kid to do so. Why do you feel you are so much better than anyone else? I am not just talking about this post, I am also talking about the post on concealed carry where you stated there was no need for someone to have a gun for protection, except yourself because you carry expensive merchandise. You sir, are the hypocrite. It is proven by your own words. As far as illegal, having sex in a public place is illegal and immoral. Having sex with a child, regardless of the legal age decided on by the liberals, is immoral. This man does not need to be in public office.

To mirror the statement of a liberal on another post: This thread is not about Larry Craig (a scumbag), it is about Kerry Gauthier. It is amazing how liberals will try to change the subject when one of their own is under fire for inappropriate conduct, and try to turn it onto a republican.

What is amazing is the hypocracy of attaching moral judgement on those you don't like, and try to cast that shadow on a whole political party, while ignoring the same conduct if if comes from your side.

I agree, so stop ignoring the misconduct in your own party and trying to change to subject. This thread was about Gauthier, not Craig. So, instead of trying to change the subject to highlight the fallicies of a former republican politician, and let us address the current affairs regarding a democrat, Gauthier. Craig is old news, and stepped down from his post following his guilty plea.

Why don't you reread your title and your initial post, and then tell me this is about Gauthier. You made this about all Democrats ( "High & Mighty Democrats & their own moral deficiencies"). It is too late to pretend that you were making an objective comment about one man.

You need to re-read the title and original post. I did not start this thread.
