Another snowy, rainy, snowy day in the Berkshires sends us to the archives and a redo of a D60 JPG using 16-bit ACR.
Best in download, critiques welcome.

Fred, the image is fine, but I just don't consider this a landscape. No offense intended.

To me, it’s a cityscape.

Nice cityscape, Fred.
But, but, look at all that landscape it is sitting on!
(Couldn't hold myself back.

Great shot.
Did you have an opportunity to go back there for more study?

Have not been able to go back, but hope springs eternal.

What might you consider it? My lay of the land encompasses urban scapes, especially historical ones, if only a fraction of a second dilution from capturing a bit of history.

Definitely a city scape, but as mentioned in numerous previous posts,
the main subject for a landscape is typically something created by
Mother Nature.
Believe me, I have nothing against history, cityscapes, urban scapes,
but it would kind of being like posting a picture of just a tree in a
section specifically designed for BIF or bird photography.
No doubt birds fly over and also sit in trees, but without the bird, the
picture of the tree doesn't belong in that section.
I'm not trying to create friction or engage in an argument, but you did
say "critiques welcome," and my critique was that in my mind it doesn't
fit into the descriptions originally laid out for the Landscape Section.

...
Perhaps I erred posting this photo to this section, but the instructions for this section contain:
"To most people the term "landscape" to a large extent means "scenery" of one kind or another. We intend to keep the definitions loose and largely non-exclusive, so urban landscapes and seascapes are included in our definition...."
Whatever the moderators wish shall be my guide.
emphasis on the 'scape really. which can start with city land and sea ...
and more. The definition was deliberately left loose precisely to avoid arguing. The section is open to all who are polite and of all abilities , bad manners and politics can be left outside the door:)
I'm happy to see there are people posting who have hardly posted in years. All the people who post here are making the section a success.
Thank You All.
