The 80D also has it - but have not used it . I HAVE
used the the in camera HDR on the Sony A77II - it
will do + and - 6EV where the Canon will only do 3
EV. I LIKE the Sony version. Someday, I will break
down and use the Canon version......JPEGS are not
a problem for me - PP them anyway. Never shoot raw.
I use several brands of bodies. Anyone making a
general, broad statement about in camera HDR is
just another "Online Expert". Not at all disparaging

In camera HDR varies huuuuugely. On the 5D-2
it barely does anything. On late model Panasonics
it's very effective. On almost ANY E-mount Sony
it's verrrrry effective.
I have a 6D but not a mark-II. Just buy your 6D-2
with a generous return policy and check it out.
Here's a Sony in-camera complete with wondrous
ghosting due to motion. Looooove that when luck
favors it. Other times, not very cool. Anywho, you
can see that the drummer is in a bright and harsh
overhead spot light. The sax player is well forward
of the band, outside of the stage lights, in a much
dimmer space. Sony HDR is very effective. Image
rendering may look a bit odd, but thaz NOT due to
HDR. It's due to ISO 10,000 plus severe cropping
from a fisheye original :-)
