These photos were taken near home and the St. Lawrence River on what seemed like the first sunny day in months. All shot with a Nikon D7200 and the 18 – 140 mm lens.
These are lovely. And it looks very cold.
NMGal, Thank you very much! It was cold, but fortunately the winds were light,
Great shots, and soooo sharp!

Dan, Thank you very much!
Beautiful work, John! On the way to Monte St. Anne?
Mike, Thank you very much! Actually, the first two were taken on the north shore of the St. Lawrence, just upriver from my place. The rest were shot on the banks of a river called the Etchemin River, a tributary to the St. Lawrence on the south shore. just east of my house. I have had the good fortune of living on a cliff overlooking the St. Lawrence, in between two tributaries, all of which have afforded me many, many photographic opportunities. Will have to post a few shots of scenes on the way to Monte St. Anne one of these days. John
Outstanding set of images. All are beauties, but my fave is the first one.

When I lived in Virginia, Monte St. Anne and Tremblant were our ski areas of choice.

Mike, Wow, that was a fair distance to drive. They are both great ski areas. There is a fairly new ski area further east called "Le Massif de Charlevoix". Has the highest vertical drop in the area - over 2500 feet. It is becoming one of those mega developments. The guy who owns Cirque du Soleil is one of the developers. I did a lot of downhill when I was younger and when I lived in Kingston ON, we used to go down to Vermont and NY (Stowe, Killington and Whiteface) to ski, as well as to the Gatineau area and Tremblant. With a bad shoulder, even my cross country skiing is severely restricted these days. You must be anxiously awaiting getting back on the slopes.
