Spaciousness in the universe has its own beauty. I love those vast scenes with no sign of human destruction or even presence.

I have mentioned before that I have traveled all over Utah and the USA this is a great shot because of the moment, most of my photos are from he moment, because I'm traveling and have little time to spend a day composing. The highway 89 to Marble Canyon Bridge takes you to an overlook of where the Vermillion Cliffs begin. The vastness is beyond belief because of the panoramic scale. This area of the Utah/Arizona border is less traveled but highly worth the trip, it is my route rather than through Vegas to get to Phoenix. One day I will post some picks but I would be hard press to get the success that this picture conveys at the moment.

Sorry for the misspelled grammer, getting old and can't see the letter forms as easily.

Literally: The LaSal Mountains of SW Utah as viewed looking south from deep in the 'Yellow Cat Flats' region north of the Colorado River and east of Arches Nat'l Park.

Figuratively: Where others --and perhaps myself, had I wished-- would've waited for 'The Golden Hour' or 'A Biblical Sky/Set Of Clouds' or any of another possible set of conditions that might have made for a more 'Impressive' image, this is where I was, and this is how it was while I was there. Others might've grabbed a detail, or others might've grabbed more, but this is what I saw, and this is what I shot. The vastness of the land staggers me, but I feel so at home in its details I know I'll never be lost in such a place as this.
Technically: Fujifilm X-T2 / Fuginon XC 50-230mm ... (show quote)

simply spectacular!

Excellent shot. Beautiful area there. Have you ever tried the pano mode on the Fuji? With wider prime lenses it works quite well.

Did a couple of test panos with my X-Pro1, but haven't given it a shot (pun intended) yet with my X-T2. That's mostly from just forgetting, but it might be partly because I'm so accustomed to the kinds of image overlaps I use for separate images to be pano-ed, then stitching them in LR. Thanx for the reminder though; sorta silly not to use a function our friends at Fuji provided us with....
