Technically: Fujifilm X-T2 / Fuginon XC 50-230mm f/4.5-6.7 @ 230mm / 1/500th @ f/11 / ISO 200 / 14 (vertical) images merged in LR.
Literally: The LaSal Mountains of SW Utah as viewed looking south from deep in the 'Yellow Cat Flats' region north of the Colorado River and east of Arches Nat'l Park.
Figuratively: Where others --and perhaps myself, had I wished-- would've waited for 'The Golden Hour' or 'A Biblical Sky/Set Of Clouds' or any of another possible set of conditions that might have made for a more 'Impressive' image, this is where I was, and this is how it was while I was there. Others might've grabbed a detail, or others might've grabbed more, but this is what I saw, and this is what I shot. The vastness of the land staggers me, but I feel so at home in its details I know I'll never be lost in such a place as this.
Wonderful and Beautiful...great photo.
Looks to me like you made the right decision! Very nice.

Beautifully done. That Moab area is amazing and you have captured a wonderful moment in time and vastness.

In short, no, parallel lines do not meet at infinity. There's a mathematical term/phrase for that incongruity, but I don't remember it. Probably has something to do with the mind's incapacity to comprehend what infinity actually is, or something along those lines.

I knew that, I was just being silly. From the perspective of this photo, they do look like they meet way off in the distance. Again, great capture.

We're on the same page of the same book, Phredster. Silliness is (as often as not) a noble pursuit. Thank you for pursuing a noble-ness of pursuing the......... silliness.... I, too, sometimes strive toward.
It's true that great minds think alike.
Interesting concept--looks great in download.
Caney, another great composition and execution of the technical aspects of photography. But, what amazed me is your youthful exuberance for the beauty of the land, even after working in it for a lifetime.
