Your black and whites of the desert continue to be outstanding. Maybe it is because we aren’t used to seeing it in black and white. But the scenes are dramatic and unique, made more so by your technique and skill.

The long shadows of the trees in the foreground perfectly complement the cloud formations. As usual, your framing and exposure are perfect. I’d love to shoot alongside you some day when we next make it to the area. I’m sure I’d learn a lot.
It’s interesting that some people think of landscape photography as sedentary, even passive. This image is a great illustration of how important both movement (to attain the perfect position) and timing are in creating an image like this.
AA would definitely approve.
