I wanted to use the full moon rising to light the front part of this old farmhouse. I used the Photopills app to plan the shot with Full moon phase. Also used the StarCaster app to tell me that shooting conditions were going to be good for that night it excellent clear skies. My setup was using my Nikon D7000, with Tokina 12-24mm lens at F4. 30 sec exposure and ISO 200. I used a Vello Shutterboss II remote switch to time my shots. Camera settings were supposed to be, Shutter set to Bulb, Apreture at F4, ISO,200. Manual exposure. I forgot to reset my Shutter speed to BULB before I turned on the Shutter Boss remote but it somehow managed to get around 170 images over a 2 hour period. Not sure how that worked out because the Shutter Boss was set to 30 secs, with a 2 sec interval delay before taking next shot. Anyway, this is my 4 attempt at shooting Star Trails, I am learning.
Images stacked using StarTrax and edits done in Photoshop CC. Really appreciate suggestions from all the experienced hogger's on ways to improve.
Well done, I think you've got it now.
You nailed it, congratulations

Your Star Trails look great!
But.....
Watch out. You are treading on the slippery slope.
Don't go gazing at Orion or you may begin to slide.
Then you will be drawn into the wonderfilled vortex of Astronomy and Astrophotography.
But if you must, I'll give you a push....
