I was going to shoot it through the window. I decided to slowly open the slider door. The deer looked right at me for a minute or so.
I guess she liked my camera. Lucky me!!
Thanks for viewing.

It's tough when you have to spend hours waiting and travel far to get this shot.

For sure, Frank. All the way from my computer desk to the slider door. Needed four rest stops to complete the journey!

When I visited northern NJ, was amazed at the numbers of the deer population. We saw them in fields, in ditches on the sides of the road, crossing roads, and in yards. Gorgeous creatures to watch, but some of the local farmers had a different point of view! lol

Yes, NJ is inundated with a deer population. Beautiful animals, but they do consume crops, shrubs, ... We have a small herd (6 - 10) who live in the small woods behind our condo complex. I photograph them frequently.
Thanks for stopping by.

Good work, Mark! On old house in Virginia, just off the George Washington Parkway, was so inundated with deer that we had problems getting into our driveway at night.

Let's just hope they have learned the difference between a good thing pointed at them and a bad thing pointed at them. - Moose

I shoot them, but only with my camera. I don't think I could shoot any animal with a gun, especially since I do not own a gun.

Thanks, Gregory. I hope not too much. My wife tends to get jealous.
